CYANIDE FISHING
Cyanide fishing is what fishermen use to catch exotic fish. A fisherman uses a few tablets of sodium cyanide mixed with water in a plastic bottle in fish hiding in cracks in the coral. This stuns the fish but remaining cyanide kills the coral reefs and the small organisms. The organisms live in the coral called polyps. The organisms on the outside of the coral are algae and even other coral.
This picture above is a picture of a person using cyanide to get fish that are hiding from these people. Cyanide is illegal and even then this wont stop these criminals who are greedy for the high pay. In the UK, prices for a live reef fish goes for around 12pounds or 19.30 US dollars. The price for that same fish in a restaurant is 120pounds or 241.36 US dollars.
